Revenue Cycle Management Specialist
Location: Fully Remote (with periodic travel throughout the year)Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist with deep expertise across the full revenue cycle, including claims processing, prior authorizations, appeals, and credentialing. This role is critical to optimizing healthcare operations and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all billing and reimbursement functions.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, persistent, and energized by complex challenges. You thrive in the “nitty gritty,” bring a hard-hat mentality to your work, and are driven by progress—no matter how incremental.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up
- Handle prior authorizations and ensure compliance with payer requirements
- Prepare, submit, and track appeals to resolve denied or underpaid claims
- Oversee provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization within RCM workflows
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial performance and operational outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and stay current on payer policies and industry regulations
- Proven experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
- Strong knowledge of claims processing, authorizations, appeals, and credentialing
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Consummate team-player with strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel periodically as needed
