Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) K-12 School Position
Location: Big Rapids, MI
Partnering Agency: ProCare Therapy
Position Type: Full-Time | Onsite | 2025-2026 School Year

ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Big Rapids, Michigan to hire a qualified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position working with students across K-12 grade levels. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about providing communication access and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Position Overview:

• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday

• K-12 caseload (specific details provided during interview)

• School-based calendar

• Contracted through ProCare Therapy as a W-2 employee

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Sign Language Interpreter license or educational interpreter endorsement

• Current and valid EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score

• Previous experience in a school setting is a plus

General Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services in classroom and school settings

• Facilitate communication between students, peers, teachers, and staff

• Support educational goals as outlined in students IEPs

• Collaborate with special education teams and general education staff

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
