Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services with close partnership to nursing executive leadership, the ICU Nurse Manager will oversee daily operations for ICU and PCU, including staffing and scheduling, competency validation, budget stewardship, quality metrics, regulatory readiness, and throughput optimization. The Critical Care RN Manager will mentor charge nurses and bedside RNs, partner with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, PT/OT/ST, case management, and social work, and champion shared governance, just culture, and data-driven performance improvement while ensuring EHR documentation excellence, infection prevention, safe medication practices, and equipment reliability. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in nursing, 3–5 years of progressive clinical and supervisory experience, active Michigan RN license, BLS, strong informatics aptitude, and the communication and physical capabilities.
