- Support hardware architecture design, including component sizing and selection, in contributing to development and/or validation of complex mechatronic systems (e.g., selection of mirco-processors, sensors, actuators, DAQ devices, signal processing circuits for HiL test environments)
- Perform data analysis in supporting system characterization/modeling, continuous improvement efforts, calibration, triage and validation activities
- Develop (i.e., architect, design, implement, validate, and parameterize) algorithms to enable intended system function in coordination with stakeholder and application requirements
- Interfacing teams – effectively communicate with these cross functional teams in order to effectively complete assigned tasks
- Need to be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction
- S/he will be given developmental opportunities through tasks such as projects, job-rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's technological processes
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication ability (written &verbal)
- Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
- Assertive approach to solving problems
- Ability to prioritize
- The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move thirty pounds
- SAE collegiate competition team (Formula, Baja, etc.) preferred
- 3D CAD modeling and software preferred
- Mechanical hobbyist preferred
