Legal Receptionist
Job Title: Legal Receptionist Non-EXEMPT
Reports to: Practice Manager
Position Overview:
The Legal Receptionist will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors at Garske Hewitt PLC Law Office, providing personalized and attentive service while aligning with Garske Hewitt's mission and values. This includes answering phone calls, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, handling all incoming mail and court documents, and preparing and sending out new client solicitation letters. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the legal field.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate party in a timely and efficient manner
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, providing personalized and attentive service
- Schedule appointments for clients and attorneys with attention to detail and accuracy
- Handle all incoming mail and court documents with respect for the legal system and the rights of clients
- Prepare and send out new client solicitation letters with quality and professionalism
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, adhering to professional and ethical standards
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, working effectively as part of a team and collaborating and sharing ideas
- Communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in the case, maintaining client confidentiality at all times
Qualifications :
- 1+ years of experience as a receptionist or in a related field
- Valid drivers License
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Experience with digital client management systems is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
This job may require sitting for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to lift and carry files and documents.
Working Conditions:
This position will be based in a traditional office setting.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and simple IRA plan.
