Payroll Associate Director
Kforce's client, one of Nassau County's top employers, is seeking an Associate Director of Payroll to be responsible for leading the payroll area, payroll processing, and related activities. This role is onsite, a 40-hour work week with a chance for a hybrid arrangement in the near future. Here are just a few of the core responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department
- Coordinate payroll processing and workflow
- Set up New Hires, process changes, terminations, direct deposit, taxable fringe benefits, deductions for administrators, clerical, facilities, public safety, and hourly employees
- Checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards
- Perform tasks to establish, reconcile and maintain employee payroll records
- Minimum five years of payroll experience with 2,000 or more employees is required. (union and non-union)
- CPP designation is preferred
- Knowledge of ADP payroll system (Vantage +)
- Knowledge of Automated Time & Attendance System (ADP eTime)
- Knowledge of Payroll Garnishments
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to maintain strict deadlines in a hectic environment
