About Us:

Dental Implant Center of Royal Oak is the longest-tenured full-arch dental implant practice in the region — and one of the only independent, doctor-owned practices of its kind left in Metro Detroit. We are a multi-specialty center led by a prosthodontist and a periodontist/implant surgeon, with our own in-house dental laboratory, on-site anesthesia services, and some of the most advanced digital workflow technology in dentistry, including iMetric iCam 4D photogrammetry and Zirkonzahn CAD/CAM.

We change lives by giving patients a new smile — often in a single day. We are looking for someone who can help more patients and more referring doctors find us.

The Role:

This is a new position for a relationship-builder who can do two things exceptionally well: grow our referral network of general dentists in the community, and tell our story online. You will also be the driving force behind our in-office continuing education events, lectures, and patient-facing events — the kind of activities that build a practice's reputation from the inside out.

You will work directly with the owner-doctors, with real autonomy to execute and the resources to do it right. Local travel between offices will be required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

Referral Development & Professional Relationships

  • Build and maintain relationships with general dentists, hygienists, and office managers across Oakland County and surrounding areas.
  • Make regular in-person visits to referring and prospective referring offices.
  • Plan and execute lunch-and-learns, office visits, and doctor-to-doctor introductions.
  • Track referral sources, identify growth opportunities, and follow up thoughtfully.
  • Represent the practice as a warm, knowledgeable, credible face in the professional community.
  • Social Media & Content
  • Own our social media calendar across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube (Shorts and long-form).

CE, Lectures & Events

  • Plan, promote, and run our in-office continuing education events for referring doctors and their teams.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, AGD/CE credit logistics, catering, RSVPs, and follow-up.
  • Organize patient appreciation events, community outreach, and practice open houses.
  • Support the doctors when they lecture externally (logistics, promotion, materials).
  • Capture content in the office — patient stories (with consent), behind-the-scenes, doctor education, technology highlights, and team culture.
  • Write captions, coordinate edits, schedule posts, and monitor engagement.
  • Ensure all content reflects the practice's voice and complies with ADA, Michigan dental board, and FTC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with outside videographers or editors when needed.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A genuine, outgoing, people person — comfortable walking into a stranger's dental office and starting a conversation.
  • Organized and self-directed; you do not need to be micromanaged.
  • A strong writer with a real eye for what works on social media — you understand the difference between a post that gets 40 views and one that gets 40,000.
  • Comfortable with a camera, basic video editing tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe suite a plus), and scheduling platforms.
  • Warm, professional, and able to represent a high-end specialty practice at every level — from a hygienist you meet in a lunchroom to a referring specialist at a CE dinner.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT ALL REQUIRED)

  • Prior experience in dental, medical, or healthcare marketing, practice liaison, or pharmaceutical/device sales.
  • Social media content creation or management experience — personal, freelance, or professional.
  • Event planning, or CE/conference coordination.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare advertising compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required — we care more about what you can do.
