Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Southfield, Michigan 48075 (Detroit metro area)
• Position Type: Travel/Locum Tenens Radiology Technologist – CT
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based CT Unit (ER/trauma experience preferred)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 7, 2025
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Options: 3 x 12-hour shifts (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM) or 4 x 10-hour shifts (12:00 PM – 10:00 PM), every 3rd weekend rotation
• On-call: No on-call required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2500–$2560
• Interview Process: Phone interview

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with strong CT scan experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience with GE CT technology (Resolution, Evo, Light Speed) highly preferred
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans and general diagnostic radiology procedures for hospital patients
• Prepare and position patients for imaging, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed for accurate imaging
• Maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all radiology equipment and supplies are ready and safe
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
• Manage imaging workflow and documentation in PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
• Demonstrate professionalism, open communication, and a positive attitude in all healthcare interactions
