About Us:

The Pack Indoor Dog Park, located in Comstock Park, MI, is not your average dog daycare. As a family-owned establishment since January 2021, we offer an indoor dog park, enrichment-based daycare, and a delightful restaurant with a bar. Our mission is to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where dogs can play, socialize, and enjoy exceptional care, while their human companions savor delicious food and drinks.

Responsibilities:

As a Canine Care Specialist & Kitchen Team Member, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities that blend the art of dog care and culinary expertise. Your shifts each week will be split approximately 50/50 between our kitchen/bar and dog areas. Your key tasks will include:

1. Providing attentive and compassionate care to our furry guests, ensuring their safety, happiness, and overall well-being. Think of a lifeguard but doggy style! You'll spend your time roaming the play areas keeping a close eye on all dogs and intervening to keep everyone having fun!

2. Engaging in interactive play sessions with dogs, keeping them entertained, and promoting positive socialization.

3. Assisting at the front desk, greeting customers, checking in dogs, and delivering exceptional customer service.

4. Collaborating with the kitchen and bar team to prepare and serve delectable dishes, including hand-tossed pizzas, homemade egg roll varieties, irresistible wings and more! Don't worry -- no kitchen experience is required. You just need an excitement to learn and work with food and beverages.

5. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, following food safety guidelines, and ensuring a hygienic environment.

6. Continuously expanding your knowledge of canine behavior and body language through comprehensive training programs.

7. Going the extra mile to create joyful memories for both our four-legged visitors and their human companions, exceeding their expectations and leaving a lasting impression.

8. We are a 7 days per week business and are hiring for individuals looking to work at least two-three Saturday evening shifts per month along with at least one - two week night shifts per week.

Traits and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities and skills:

1. Self-motivated and proactive, with a can-do attitude and the ability to take initiative.

2. Genuine affection and enthusiasm for dogs, including the ability to handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments.

3. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where dogs may be active and require your attention.

4. Outstanding customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to both dogs and their owners.

5. A passion for learning and a growth mindset, open to feedback and eager to expand your knowledge of dog behavior and culinary techniques.

6. Previous experience working with dogs or a professional background in the culinary field is a plus but not required.

7. All employees must be at least 18 years old due to our onsite alcohol service.
