Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Commercial Cost Estimator to lead the estimating process for our growing commercial construction sector. This role will play a key part in expanding our footprint in the commercial market by producing accurate and competitive bids, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and helping build strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate brings both technical estimating experience in commercial construction and valuable industry connections that can support business development and project acquisition.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects

including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

-Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop scope and pricing

strategies.

-Collaborate with the leadership team on bid/no-bid decisions and overall commercial

growth strategy.

-Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing

and reliable partnerships.

-Conduct pre-bid meetings, site visits, and risk assessments as needed.

-Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure a smooth transition from

estimating to execution.

-Track historical data and maintain cost databases for ongoing pricing accuracy and

forecasting.

-Support proposal development and client presentations for negotiated and hard-bid

opportunities.

-Build and maintain relationships within the commercial construction industry to identify

future opportunities and partnerships.

Qualifications:

-Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects

-Proven ability to prepare full-cycle estimates and competitive bids.

-Strong network of industry contacts is highly preferred.

Skills:

-Proficiency with estimating software

-Strong understanding of construction methods, codes, and commercial project scopes.

-Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

-Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

-Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

-Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

preferred; equivalent field experience also considered.
