CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team on a 1st shift schedule. You will be responsible for programming and operating 3/5-axis CNC machines to perform precision machining operations. This role requires quality checking of machined parts, calculating dimensions and tolerances, and performing necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate the 3/5-axis CNC machine to perform cutting operations.
• Quality check machined parts, calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Perform repairs where needed.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and specialized tools for precision machining operations.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Work with materials such as titanium, nitronic 50 stainless, exotic metals, and aluminum.

Essential Skills

• CNC programming/operating experience with Plastic Mold Injections.
• Experience with CAM Software, preferably WorkNC.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience with 3/5-axis CNC operations.
• Experience in complex, multiaxial setups and cutting using a variety of materials and weldments for custom parts, bases, and fixtures.
• Ability to communicate well with management regarding employee and supply needs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with FANUC and Heidenhain controls is preferred.
• Proficiency in WorkNC is an advantage.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with occasional Saturdays during busy periods. The role involves working with advanced CNC machinery and a variety of materials.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rockford, MI.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
