Accounting Manager
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Grand Rapids, MI. Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to take ownership of day-to-day accounting activities while leading and developing a small team. This role works closely with the CFO to ensure the accuracy of financial records, improve accounting processes, and support the organization's operational and strategic goals. Duties Include:
- Own the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial results
- Guide and support teams responsible for AP, AR, billing, and general accounting
- Monitor and maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP
- Improve workflows, controls, and reporting through process and system enhancements
- Serve as a key partner during audits and financial reviews
- Collaborate with leaders across the business on financial insights and initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial close processes
- Advanced Excel skills with solid attention to detail
- Experience with a larger ERP system is a plus
