About the Role:
The Director of Operations plays a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operational functions of the organization across multiple departments. This position ensures that business processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals to drive sustainable growth. The Director of Operations collaborates closely with executive leadership to develop and implement operational policies, manage budgets, and improve overall organizational performance. They lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and enhanced customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability that supports the company’s long-term success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in management or a similar leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing complex operational functions and leading diverse teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and operational innovation.
Responsibilities:
Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s objectives and growth plans.
Ensures the optimal utilization of resources (labor, materials, and equipment) to meet production goals. Analyze production data and prepare reports on key metrics. .
- Establish clear goals and KPI’s that are reviewed, evaluated and communicated often to foster a culture of accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams by setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain business continuity.
Analyze operational data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives and report performance to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all operational activities.
Coordinate cross-departmental projects and initiatives to enhance productivity and customer experience.

The Director of Operations utilizes strong leadership and strategic planning skills daily to guide teams and align operational activities with business goals. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting performance data and identifying areas for improvement, enabling informed decision-making. Effective communication skills facilitate collaboration across departments and with executive leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
