Policy Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a junior officer with a solid academic background in European green industrial policy and strong cross-cultural communication skills to support basic research, outreach coordination, and policy analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Basic Research & Analysis

• Collect, organize, and analyze data, reports, and legislative documents related to European policies

• Assist in drafting policy briefings, research reports, and meeting summaries

• Monitor policy developments of major European institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, etc.)

• Maintain policy databases and knowledge management systems

2. Outreach & Network Building

• Assist in arranging meetings with European policymakers, stakeholders, and partners

• Participate in industry academic conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions

• Support the team in maintaining relations with European institutions, think tanks, and civil society organizations

• Assist in preparing outreach materials and presentations

3. Coordination & Administrative Support

• Coordinate internal team meetings and cross-departmental collaboration

• Assist in organizing policy events, workshops, and briefings

• Manage project timelines and track deliverables from external organizations

• Provide general administrative and travel support to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements

• Education: Degree in European Studies, Public Policy, International Relations/Political Science, or related fields

• European Experience: At least two years of study or living experience in European countries, with in-depth understanding of European social, cultural, and political environments. 0–2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in EU green industrial policy or automotive upstream/downstream industries is a plus

• Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional European language is preferred (German, French prioritized)

•Research Skills: Basic policy research and analytical skills, with the ability to process complex information

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with cross-cultural sensitivity

• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team with strong collaboration spirit
