Staff Accountant and Assistant Manager

PRO Leasing Services (PLS) manages company vehicle fleets around the country. PLS is located at 15 Mile Rd. & Mound in Sterling Heights (the same building as the Price Right RV dealership). The administrative staff works from the office - remote work is not available.

We're looking for an accountant to help with all functions performed by the administrative staff. You will assist the office manager with monthly financial statements, account reconciliation, and other tasks as assigned. You will also help with client billing, insurance verification, and vehicle purchasing, titling, registrations, and sales.

YOU:

• Have several years of experience with AP/AR, general ledger, and accounting
• A background in lease accounting is preferred, but not required
• Are proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Have familiarity with vehicle sales, including titling and registrations (or if not, you are willing to learn)
• Are willing and able to learn new processes and tasks

Job functions will include:

• Working with ALS leasing software and Dealertrack accounting software
• Maintaining general ledger accounts, banking wire transfers, ACH client setups, reconciling bank statements
• Completing monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales tax forms and 1099s
• Setting up and maintaining state registrations and monthly sales tax payments
• Completing year-end tax reporting work with our CPA
• Maintaining HR files and health insurance
• Payroll filing report for workers' comp and insurance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
