General Purpose & Essential Duties:

The Product Manager – Security Solutions leads the development, launch, and lifecycle management of Guardian Alarm’s physical security technology offerings, including remote video monitoring, video surveillance, access control, intrusion systems, and related connected services. This role partners closely with the VP of Product Management to execute day-to-day product management activities, identify market opportunities, and guide product enhancements that support Guardian’s growth strategy. Serving as a bridge between technology, operations, sales, and the customer, the Product Manager ensures Guardian’s security solutions remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management


  • Support the VP of Product Management in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Guardian’s security services portfolio.

  • Manage the full product lifecycle including concept development, testing, launch, and ongoing enhancement of Guardian’s security technology solutions.

  • Lead day-to-day product management activities with primary focus on remote video monitoring services while supporting initiatives in access control and intrusion solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to expand service capabilities, improve product performance, and enhance customer value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, monitoring, and sales teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable product plans.

  • Partner with Customer Experience and Field Operations teams to ensure successful deployment, service delivery, and operational alignment.

  • Work with marketing and sales leadership to support go-to-market strategies, product launches, and product positioning.

Vendor & Technology Management


  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships related to security technology platforms, devices, and service providers.

  • Coordinate with technology partners to ensure integrations, feature development, and system capabilities align with Guardian’s product strategy.

  • Stay current on industry innovations, emerging technologies, and compliance standards within physical security, remote video monitoring, and AI-driven analytics.

Performance & Market Analysis


  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and new growth opportunities.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product adoption, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and profitability.

  • Use data insights to inform product improvements and guide future service enhancements.

Product Enablement & Subject Matter Expertise


  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on Guardian’s security solutions, particularly remote video monitoring services.

  • Support product training initiatives for internal teams including sales, operations, and monitoring.

  • Assist with development of product documentation, presentations, and materials that support internal education and customer engagement.

Required Skills, Abilities, Education & Experience:


  • Strong understanding of video surveillance, remote monitoring, and alarm system technologies.

  • Working knowledge of physical security technologies including intrusion detection and access control systems.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across technical and operational teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer-focused product solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience developing product documentation and presentations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the security, IoT, or technology services industries.

  • Experience launching and managing video-based or connected technology products.

  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, recurring revenue services, and product lifecycle management tools.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and sales preferred.
