Calibration Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, adjustment, and repair of various precision measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation in accordance with quality management systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in equipment, performing necessary adjustments or minor repairs.
• Develop, review, and update calibration procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Ensure all calibrated equipment complies with internal standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP), and customer requirements.
• Manage and track the calibration status and schedules for all manufacturing equipment.
• Operate and maintain calibration standards and reference equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of fundamental metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025).
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a variety of test and measurement equipment (electrical, mechanical, dimensional).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for data interpretation, error analysis, and unit conversions.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately document calibration results and maintain meticulous records.
• Familiarity with calibration management software and standard office applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
• Experience with calibration management software (e.g., Beamex CMX, Fluke Met/Cal)
• Ability to perform minor repairs or troubleshoot instrumentation issues
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical)
