Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109
• Healthcare Setting: Level IV NICU & PICU
• Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: November 3, 2025
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Nursing Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310
• Patient Population: Neonates and pediatric patients (high-risk, complex cases)
• Unit Size: 59-bed Level IV NICU

NICU RN Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse license (required prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years recent NICU RN experience
• Direct PICU nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS (must be current before start date)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 2 direct supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• No scheduling requests; no RTO first week of contract
• Traveler pairs not accepted

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill neonates and pediatric patients in the NICU and PICU
• Attend high-risk deliveries, provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Perform NICU IV therapy and operate complex medical equipment (ECMO, high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy)
• Float between NICU and PICU as needed for clinical support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide family-centered care
• Educate and support families throughout hospitalization and discharge planning
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Complete orientation and required modules onsite
