Location: Grand Rapids, MI

1st and 2nd shift Available - 10hr shifts

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable Press Operator to join our steel manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining press machines used to form, stamp, or shape steel components according to production specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hydraulic or mechanical press machines to form and shape steel components
• Set up press equipment including dies, tooling, and material feeds according to production specifications
• Load raw materials and remove finished parts from the press machine
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper function and consistent part quality
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify they meet required specifications
• Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment issues to maintenance personnel
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating press machines or manufacturing equipment preferred
• Ability to read tape measures and basic production instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
