Outage scheduler
Large utility is looking for an Outage scheduler in West Olive, MI. This role requires a scheduling expert with experience in power generation or utilities to manage complex maintenance timelines using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure safe, on-time outage execution. education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive schedules for planned plant outages and major maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and external contractors to define work scopes.
- Align and allocate necessary resources to ensure project goals are met.
- Sequence outage activities logically to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Monitor daily progress and identify impacts to the critical path.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential delays or scheduling conflicts.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain a background in power generation or utility-scale environments.
- Experience scheduling plant outages, turnarounds, or major maintenance activities in power generation or utility environments
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
