The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices and scheduling payments.
• Process accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment application, and collections.
• Perform accurate and timely bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.
• Assist with payroll processing, including timecard verification and expense reimbursements.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures, preparing necessary journal entries and reports.
• Track and reconcile inventory movements and related costs specific to manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
• Experience with inventory costing, tracking, and reconciliation in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close processes, and variance analysis.
• Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience within the manufacturing sector.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., inventory valuation, WIP, COGS).
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory management processes and systems.
