Human Resource Coordinator
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees. This includes posting job openings, conducting interviews, assisting with hiring decisions, and ensuring smooth onboarding for new staff members.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting employee engagement. Act as a liaison between staff and management to maintain a healthy, productive work culture.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal employment laws, regulations, and industry standards. Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure timely submission of required documentation (e.g., EEO-1 reports, OSHA records).
- Training & Development: Coordinate ongoing employee training programs, including new hire orientation, mandatory in-service training, and professional development opportunities. Ensure that staff is up to date on certifications, licenses, and other required qualifications.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payment for all employees. Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement plans, etc.), including enrollment, changes, and communication.
- Performance Management: Assist in developing and implementing performance appraisal systems. Provide support to managers in addressing performance issues and conducting performance reviews.
- Workforce Planning & Scheduling: Collaborate with department heads to manage workforce scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet resident care needs while minimizing overtime and managing labor costs.
- Health & Safety Programs: Work with the safety officer or management to ensure workplace safety protocols are followed, including maintaining OSHA compliance, employee wellness programs, and ensuring safe working conditions for staff.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Develop and implement strategies for improving employee satisfaction and retention. Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and surveys to gauge employee morale and address concerns.
- Conflict Resolution & Disciplinary Actions: Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Maintain documentation and confidentiality throughout the process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and approachable demeanor with a focus on employee well-being and care.
- Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally travel within the facility.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require bending, reaching, or stretching.
- Ability to lift and carry light office equipment as needed.
