Systems Administrator

Dürr
Southfield, MI
Your Tasks

  • We're looking for a proactive and solutions-driven System Administrator to take ownership of our IT environment and lead a small but mighty support team. If you thrive in a hands-on technical role, enjoy solving challenges, and love helping others succeed through technology - we'd love to meet you!
  • Manage, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems to ensure uptime, performance, and security.
  • Lead and mentor onsite support staff - coordinating schedules, training, and performance feedback.
  • Deliver outstanding end user support, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues with a customer-first approach.
  • Monitor system health and proactively troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Administer user accounts, access, and permissions in alignment with security policies.
  • Partner with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to drive technology initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Keep documentation up to date for systems, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend upgrades that strengthen operations.
  • This is a hands-on role, with a large percentage of time on end-user support and help desk activities. The remaining time dedicated to systems administration, maintenance and process improvement.

Your Skills:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
  • Strong background in Windows Server, networking, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience supporting Linux environments (a plus!).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop technical support staff.
  • Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
