Stonycroft Hills Club is a private, member-owned golf club Located in beautiful Bloomfield Hills. Our 9-hole course is set on rolling terrain intertwined with a tributary of the Rouge River. Known for its beautifully maintained course and welcoming community, Stonycroft Hills Club’s golf course is the main focus of membership. We have just completed a $1.5 Million renovation based on the vision of golf course architect, Chris Wilczynski. Reopening in the spring of 2026, we are excited to reveal this polished jewel and delivering exceptional playing conditions and a memorable experience for our members and guests.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Greens Superintendent to join our grounds team. This role supports the Superintendent in managing and maintaining the golf course, ensuring high-quality turf conditions, and overseeing daily operations.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with a hands-on management approach displaying agronomic expertise and environmental awareness. They will take pride in delivering exceptional course conditions, inspiring their team through mentorship and accountability, and serving as a partner to Club leadership. Must be approachable and personable as they will be the face of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing turf maintenance programs.
- Supervise and train grounds crew staff.
- Operate and maintain turf equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor irrigation systems and assist with repairs.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments as directed.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to meet course conditioning goals.
Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of golf course maintenance experience.
- Michigan pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of turf equipment operation and maintenance.
- Passion for golf course management and continuous learning.
