What Youll Do

As a clinician and population healthsubject matter expertforthe region, the Regional Medical Director will ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care across the entire disease spectrum from CKD to ESRD patients with the goal of optimizing outcomes and the patient experience for patient populations. The medical director will work with the local market general manager to develop and engage Strives provider network and optimize the deployment of the Strive Care Model.The Medical Director offers physician leadership to the entire region. This role reports to the Chief Clinical Officer.

The Day to Day

  • Serves as physician leader with a multidisciplinaryteam ofphysicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, case managers, social workers, dieticians, and pharmacists in the management chronic disease for patient populations.
  • Responsible for onboarding and relationship management for collaborating physicians.
  • Remains up-to-date and current on advances and trends in renal care treatment, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in the development and support of employees.Will participateinperformancereviews and supports performance improvement efforts.
  • Serves as liaison between Strives administration, medical staff leadership, clinical staff, hospital departments and network providers.
  • Establishes and manages highly productive relationships with Strives provider networks, including service providers including nephrologists, dialysis units, and transplant and vascular centers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited medical school, residency and fellowship programs.
  • 6+ years experience working in Medicine (residency, hospital, clinical, etc.).
  • Current state-specific licensure required.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license required, or eligible to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Current BLS or CPR Certification required.
  • Board-certified in Nephrology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, or another relevant specialty.
  • Efficient and reliable transportation, including an active drivers license, allowing for the ability to travel across an assigned region to meet patient needs. Locations may include offices, clinics, and patient homes.
  • Provides in-person patient care which may include standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in Value-Based Care and supportive of the Nurse Practitioner role or a related field.
  • Ability to teach, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, customer service, relationship development, results orientation, team building and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability, or potential, to excel in smaller entrepreneurial organizations.
  • Excels at motivating and leading clinical teams to drive optimal outcomes for patients and populations.

Annual Base Salary Range: $218,000 - $350,000
