Fleet Mechanic

Are you ready to be part of West Michigan's premier HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical employer? Service Professor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our Grand Rapids team.

Position Overview:

As our Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, vehicle routine maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, parts management, compliance and record keeping.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the vehicles
• Conduct regular diagnostic inspections on our fleet and complete any necessary repairs
• Service ISUZU gas and diesel trucks, Ford Transits and Escapes, Chevy Equinoxes, and Dodge ProMasters
• Communicate with technicians, managers, and dispatchers when work is scheduled
• Track performed maintenance in Microsoft Excel and export status reports as needed
• Collaborate with the Fleet Supervisor to replenish spent inventory while remaining within budget
• Respond to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in the field to perform repairs or bring them back to the shop

What Does It Take?

• 3 years of fleet maintenance or automotive technician experience
• 2 years of fleet management experience preferred
• Ability to service diesel and combustion vehicles
• Ability to MIG weld
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, ASE certifications preferred
• Valid U.S. Driver's License

Pay:

• $30-35/per hour depending upon experience
