Locum Ophthalmologist - Pigeon, MI

Join a thriving independent critical access hospital located on the stunning sunset coast of Lake Huron, just two hours north of Detroit! We seek a passionate and skilled Ophthalmologist for a locum position lasting 3-6 months while we finalize a full-time role. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to make an impact in a thriving community.

As a key team member, the Ophthalmologist will have the chance to utilize their expertise in general ophthalmology, focusing on cataract surgery - an essential aspect of this position. Additional retina and oculoplastic skills would be highly valued, further enriching the comprehensive eye care services, but are not essential.

This hospital, led by dedicated physicians, is committed to providing top-notch care within a supportive environment. In this role, the Ophthalmologist will have the chance to see upwards of 30 patients daily in a fully staffed outpatient clinic. Two operating rooms will be available daily, allowing the ophthalmologist to perform 20+ cataract procedures each surgery day.
