- Program/support measurement and test equipment; validate reliable gauging.
- Publish robust work instructions with Engineering/Production, covering steps, measurement methods, and product handling.
- Train both plant and office staff on procedures and QMS requirements.
- Run corrective actions: launch, root cause (5‑Why, 8D, Fishbone), implement, verify, and close in customer/internal systems; report status to customers and leadership.
- Partner with customers and suppliers for launches, audits, on‑site reviews, and containment/corrective action.
- Lead nonconforming material disposition, contribute to MRB, and ensure full documentation and closure.
- Drive continuous improvement using DOE, Red X, and other statistical methods.
- Mine data to improve customer, supplier, and internal process performance.
- Support risk‑based FMEA, mistake‑proofing audits, and process enhancements alongside Engineering/Production.
- Develop suppliers: validate corrective actions, manage PPAP requests, review supplier changes, conduct supplier audits, and secure timely responses.
- Participate in all audits—customer, internal, surveillance, supplier, and quality/environmental system assessments (including CQI).
- Act as a key customer interface and collaborate across functions and organizational boundaries.
- Mentor peers across functions on quality methods and rigor.
