Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee operations. The role involves managing efficiency levels, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing experience and be comfortable working in food and beverage environments, including wearing PPE in cold, refrigerated areas.

Responsibilities

• Hire, fire, and manage payroll and timesheets.
• Organize production schedules and communicate with shift leads regarding production needs.
• Ensure adherence to efficiency levels and continuous improvement processes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the production team.
• Manage labor efficiency and compliance by following KPIs.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of production or operation supervision experience with a team of 35+ individuals in a non-union manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with SAP or any ERP system for tracking production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including material, maintenance, people, and machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of industrial maintenance and machinery operations.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree for upward mobility within the company.

Work Environment

Work in a food and beverage environment where areas are cold due to refrigeration needs. You will be required to wear appropriate PPE such as lab coats, hair nets, and beard nets when in food areas. The position involves working 2nd shift from 2pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts based on production demand. Expect to work 45 to 50 hours a week, starting with training on the 1st shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ferndale, MI.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

1st day of the month following the date of hire Medical, Dental, Vision STD / LTD HSA/FSA PTO eligible (1 week for 1st year)

This is a fully onsite position in Ferndale,MI.

This position is anticipated to close on Feb 27, 2026.
