Thermoplastic Injection Press Operator
About the Role
As a Thermoplastic Injection Press Operator, you’ll play a hands-on role transforming raw material into finished parts. You’ll operate molding equipment, keep a close eye on quality, and support a fast-paced production team that counts on your reliability and attention to detail.
A Day in This Role
You start by checking your press, confirming materials are ready, and reviewing any notes from the previous shift. As cycles run, you remove parts and perform careful visual checks to catch cosmetic or dimensional defects. If something looks off, you promptly notify a supervisor so the issue can be corrected. Between runs, you keep your station tidy and organized, and you pitch in with material handling or other tasks to keep production flowing.
What You’ll Do
- Run and monitor injection molding machines to meet production goals
- Perform visual inspections of molded components and identify defects
- Escalate equipment or quality concerns to supervisors without delay
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area
- Assist with moving materials and support general production needs
What You Bring
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities
- Follows directions well and can work independently when needed
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery and in a loud environment
- Prior molding experience is a plus, but not required
