Surface Grinder Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• First Shift ( Monday through Saturday from 06:00am to 04:30pm )

As the Surface Grinder, the associate will perform final surface prep and deburr on finished machined aerospace parts utilizing but not limited to blasters belt grinders variable speed hand grinders, buffers, stereo microscopes and ultrasonic cleaner.

Job Duties

• Surface Prep Inspects surface of work piece for defects
• Able to select grade of abrasive belt wheel or disk according to specifications using knowledge of abrasives and condition of metal
• Use a grinder over surface of work piece to remove scratches laminated metal excess weld material and burs
• Polish ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth unmarred surface. Operate hand grinders belt sanders buffers
• Use hand deburr tools when necessary to Deburr internal features of parts including fuel ports
• Counts parts to ensure all products are accounted for going in and out of all operations.

Surface Grinder Qualifications:

• At least 1 year manufacturing experience, with prototyping preferred.
• Experience with grinding and deburring.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
