OBGYN Urogynecologist (Detroit)
Serve on committees directly related to OB/GYN, including the Department Education Committee, Graduate Medical Education, and QA Committee.
Participate in committees not directly related to OB/GYN as assigned.
Assist the Program Director in administering the residency program, including curriculum development, structuring resident rotations, collecting statistics, updating residency and instructional manuals, and resident recruitment.
Take on an administrative role as the Hospital FPMRS practice expands to include other FPMRS specialists.
Demonstrate safe work practices, follow safety rules, work to prevent unsafe conditions, participate in safety programs, coordinate medical care at Practice Sites, and maintain effective liaison with referring physicians.
Maintain a FPMRS private practice within the OB/GYN academic group, occupying up to five half-days per week, seeing a reasonable number of patients per session.
All services rendered through the OB/GYN academic group are deemed services to the Hospital and covered under this agreement, including professional liability coverage.
Be scheduled and available for patient care at the office and Hospital for a minimum of 36 hours per week, with 4 hours allocated for administrative duties, totaling 40 hours weekly.
Deliver professional medical services in your specialty in a quality and cost-effective manner at Practice Sites, following a schedule that meets patient needs, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays, as approved by Employer.
Supervise residents providing care in FPMRS and gynecology clinics, inpatient care, and consultation services regarding urogynecology.
Participate actively in educational activities such as Grand Rounds, Morning Report, Journal Review, Textbook Exams, Morbidity/Mortality Conferences, and give invited lectures outside the department, including to nursing staff.
Hold weekly teaching sessions for medical students on service.
Serve as an OHEP Mock Oral Board Examiner when invited.
Properly document all revenue-generating patient encounters and promptly transfer documentation to the billing department.
Engage actively in at least one publishable research project, with or without resident involvement.
Comply with all hospital-wide rules and bylaws, support staffing needs in the absence of other faculty, and obtain or maintain board certification or eligibility within five years of becoming eligible.
