Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiation Oncology
Description
This on-site, contract position provides an excellent opportunity for medical professionals seeking to make a significant impact in the medical practice industry.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality radiation oncology services to patients. Your expertise will contribute to diagnosing and treating various cancers, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Collaborating closely with healthcare teams, you will be involved in developing treatment plans and providing ongoing support to patients throughout their journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert radiation oncology consultations and treatments
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and procedures
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiation oncology
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p
Weekend call shifts available
Daily Volume: 12-16 patients, or 8-10 when on-call
Patient Population: 65+
Setting: Outpatient and inpatient
Responsibilities: Inpatient rounding, consultations, ECG, ECHO, nuclear study readings, and some non-invasive procedures
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff: Clinic staff
Must be board-certified
