Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined parts using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and engineering specifications to ensure part conformance.
• Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, inserts, and workholding devices.
• Make necessary offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain part quality and optimize production.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required quality documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for in-process inspection.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits (G-code/M-code).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot common machining issues and maintain part quality.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with G-code programming for minor edits and troubleshooting.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMMs, optical comparators).
• Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and minor machine troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of various material properties and their impact on machining.
