JOB SUMMARY
Operations Manager oversees and manages the overall operations of the assigned location(s), including, but not limited to, budgets, scheduling, car wash quality, Guest service, site HR matters, and equipment maintenance and inspection. You will be the primary on-site lead in all marketing and promotional programs.
REPORTS TO: Vice president of Operations
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily site operations to protect Company interests, grow revenue, increase memberships, and deliver a superior Guest and Member experience.
- Ensure Company policies, procedures, brand standards, safety requirements, and employee handbook expectations are consistently implemented and enforced.
- Coach, train, and develop Assistant Team Leaders and Team Members through daily engagement, clear goals, performance feedback, and timely performance reviews.
- Conduct regular leadership and team meetings to review operations, staffing, maintenance, promotions, service changes, guest issues, and other business priorities.
- Partner with the Vice President of Operations and Franchise Business Consultant on operational performance, marketing initiatives, site standards, and business growth opportunities.
- Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, disciplinary matters, personnel documentation, and other site-level HR responsibilities in coordination with leadership.
- Ensure staffing schedules are prepared appropriately based on projected sales, labor budgets, weather conditions, and operating-hour requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, secure, and well-maintained site, including the building, grounds, equipment, inventory, parts, supplies, and car wash operations.
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment adjustments are completed accurately and in accordance with brand standards.
- Investigate and resolve Guest and Member complaints, incidents, claims, and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor sales trends, membership performance, labor, vendor performance, and operational results; take action to improve performance and correct issues.
- Manage required administrative tasks, including invoices, banking, POS and computer systems, checklists, inventory, reports, ADP updates, and management app entries.
- Serve as the on-site lead for local marketing, promotional programs, community presence, and media-related responsibilities.
- Remain available to provide guidance to team members when off site and complete other duties that support Company operations and Guest/Member satisfaction.

Education, Experience and requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ retail management experience; proven leadership ability.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience overseeing mechanical repairs or repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Must possess superior communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative with strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ethics, both personal and professional.
- Must have vast experience managing a diverse staff of both full, part-time and seasonal employees.
Work environment
This job operates in a professional retail environment. Car washing operating hours are Sunday through Saturday, operating a minimum of 14 hours per day. This role routinely operates in all areas of the car wash facility, including indoor and outdoor work. You must be willing to work hard, build relationships and LOVE people! - Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to move about inside the office to access file cabinet and office machinery, etc.
- Able to effectively communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information.
- Able to move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Able to work and commute in all weather conditions.
- Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers, grasping and clench.
Travel
- Travel may be required for sales, marketing, training and banking.
