Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mill machines. These machines are Fanuc controlled and utilize CAD/CAM programming. You will work on 3-axis CNC machines daily, contributing to various OEM projects including press, tool, and mold builds for soft touch products.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mill machines.
• Operate and run 3-axis CNC machines daily.
• Work on parts for OEM projects including press builds, tool builds, and mold builds.
• Ensure precision in creating molds and tooling for soft products such as arm rests, head rests, dashboards, consoles, and other vehicle interior parts.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience as a CNC operator.
• 5 years of programming experience using CAD/CAM, EDGECAM, Mastercam, Gibbscam, WorkNC, or Tebis.
• Ability to independently set up CNC machines.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical skills.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machine operation and manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with mills and lathes.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean and temperature-controlled manufacturing facility with multiple areas including shipping/receiving, CNC, assembly, lab, and 3D printing. The facility is surrounded by office space and includes a breakroom. Steel-toed shoes are required, and the shift is from 6:00am to 5:00pm, with flexible start times as long as you begin by 8:00am. You will work 8-hour shifts, occasionally extending to 10 hours if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
