The function of this position is: Supply quality product to all package lines at a rate that maintains operation. To handle product from processing lines, either substandard or quality product, and warehouse this product. Job duties may change due to production requirements.
Duties:
1. Supply quality powder to package lines, using oldest manufacture date first. Supply empty totes to processing lines. Apply MES/SAP tags.
2. Guarantee QMS compliance, which includes magnet checks, screen checks, hold procedures, and right product/right line. Manage tote bin resources, bulk bags, and WIP inventories on 2nd floor.
3. Transfer powder from supersacks to totes as needed.
4. Keep lift truck in a safe operating condition. Perform daily lift truck checks and change forklift battery when needed.
5. Responsible for sanitation and cleaning on 2nd floor including SSOP checklists and K-tron room.
6. Clean tote tilt on powder changes.
7. Locate totes for resampling when needed.
8. Perform MES/SAP functions to comply with all QMS requirements.
9. Communicate with package line operators, processing operators, and lab operators.
10. Safe and sanitary operation of the elevator.
11. Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
12. Change tote fill transitions, tote wrench transitions as needed.
13. Operate high lift to clean ceiling areas. Operate scrubbers to clean floor.
Responsibilities include:
Materials: Insure materials used meet quality standards. Insure labeling of finished product is correct. Insure correct product set on package lines.
Equipment: Report any repairs that are needed. Wear proper head protection.
Safety: Employee shall follow Waverly safety objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety Management System on all safety related procedures and programs.
Environmental: This position will adhere to the Nestlé USA Waverly Environmental Policy, the Pollution Prevention Plan, and the Annual Environmental Objectives & Targets. The position will support the continual improvement of energy conservation, solid waste minimization and management, and prevention of pollution within the scope of the position and throughout the plant.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Previous experience on a lift truck strongly preferred.
Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.
Willing and able to work overtime.
Willing and able to work various shifts.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
**This is a 2nd shift position: 4 pm-12 am with rotating mandatory overtime at the beginning or end of shift.
Pay $28.25/hr.
