Kids Yoga Instructor

About the Role

Eleven Eleven Yoga is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and engaging Kids Yoga Instructor to lead mindful, inclusive, and age-appropriate classes for children. In addition to yoga and mindfulness, classes may also include breathing exercises, creative movement, crafts, games, and playful activities that support emotional regulation, connection, and self-expression. The ideal candidate has experience working with kids, a strong foundation in yoga teaching, and a commitment to creating a supportive and emotionally safe environment. Trauma-informed training is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, developmentally appropriate kids yoga and mindfulness classes
• Guide children through breathing exercises, movement, crafts, games, and creative activities that complement yoga themes
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and emotionally safe class environment
• Model kindness, respect, patience, and positive communication
• Adapt activities to meet different learning styles and abilities
• Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and studio staff
• Arrive prepared and minimum 15 minutes before all scheduled classes
• Stay minimum 15 minute after class to clean up and reset the studio
• Maintain a classroom environment consistent with the studio’s mission and values

Requirements

• 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification (or Kids Yoga Certification)
• Reliable and punctual with strong professionalism
• Experience teaching or working with children (classroom, camps, childcare, coaching, etc.)
• Alignment with trauma-sensitive and emotionally aware teaching practices
• Commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and community care

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma-informed or trauma-sensitive yoga training
• Kids Yoga certification or specialized youth teaching experience
