Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

The Journeyman Electrician will work in Bellevue, MI, within the Bellevue School District, assisting with retrofitting lighting fixtures to LED. This project is estimated to last around 10 weeks, working alongside another Journeyman Electrician and overseeing apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with retrofitting lighting fixtures to LED in Bellevue School District.
• Work collaboratively with another Journeyman Electrician.
• Oversee apprentices on site to ensure project completion.
• Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Pull wire and perform wiring tasks.

Essential Skills

• Possession of a State of Michigan Journeyman Card.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Previous experience with retrofitting on commercial or industrial sites.
• Ability to troubleshoot and read blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman License.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a school setting, involving work at heights such as replacing light bulbs in gyms, classrooms, and office spaces. The shift is from 7am to 5:30pm. Safety gear including safety glasses, vest, steel-toed boots, and a hard hat are required, with additional PPE provided as needed.

This is a 10 week contract position based out of Bellevue, Michigan .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
