South Lyon Animal Clinic is excited to add a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fun-loving, team-oriented practice where flexibility, collaboration and high-quality medicine go hand in hand. We are a multi-doctor, small animal/exotic hospital with a sister location in South Lyon. Our team is happy-go-lucky, supportive and always ready to help each other out. About Us- Two Hospitals, One Team

Our Medical Director and owner, Dr. Burns, is one of the few veterinarians in the area with specialized skills in treating aquatic animals. While this isn’t part of the services provided at Walled Lake, his unique expertise highlights the depth of knowledge and leadership that guide our hospitals. We are two teams come together to form one family, from South Lyon AC to Walled Lake Veterinary Hospital.

Responsibilities

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician , your duties will include:

• Assisting veterinarians during patient exams, treatments, and surgeries.
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and therapeutic treatments.
• Performing diagnostic tests, including radiography, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
• Monitoring anesthesia and providing post-operative care.
• Conducting dental cleanings and using digital dental radiography.
• Educating clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Licensed Veterinary Technician Required (LVT)
• Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities.
• Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
• Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
