APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Almont, MI looking to add a Press Brake Operator to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain the press brake to shape sheet metal accurately and safely. Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:

• Operate press brake machinery to form and shape various types of metal, primarily sheet metal.
• Load, align, and position materials to achieve accurate bends and shapes according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise measurements and alignment.
• Follow all company, state, and federal safety regulations, including proper use of protective equipment and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Support team operations by assisting in the Press Brake Department and other departments as needed.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain the press brake, including performing routine maintenance such as oil, filter, and lubrication changes.
• Inspect materials and finished pieces for accuracy, imperfections, and quality standards.

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant experience in sheet metal and steel fabrication.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Skilled at using tools to take accurate measurements in both metric and U.S. systems.
