Retail Financial Analyst
The Retail Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy
Reports to: Controller
The primary responsibilities of the Retail Financial Analyst position include:
Controlling
· Work in collaboration with Wesco leadership to develop, maintain, and publish requested financial information.
· Serving as a subject matter expert for providing financial analytical information to Wesco leadership.
· Coordination, direction, and control of all financial analysis and reporting of it.
· Assist Wesco leadership in defining appropriate reports and scorecards.
· Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making.
· Collecting and Analyzing data regarding Wesco's operational cost to identify trends and develop action plans as needed
· Setting standard costs of manufactured goods and making recommendations to set labor, supplies and miscellaneous costs.
· Developing and analyzing cost standards
· Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
· Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings
Generating and Analyzing
· Generate and analyze historical and current financial data to understand Wesco's financial status and trends.
· Provide support by creating and reporting actual on actual performance versus stated goals.
· Create financial reports that enable management teams to make strategic decisions to meet business goals.
· Create processes to track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation.
· Analyze current business practices to identify gaps that can improve profit margins.
· Generate data needed to support company benchmarks for financial processes.
· Study industry specific information to predict and compare it to Wesco.
· Utilize various software programs to collect and analyze data
Teaching
· Provide business analysis training to Wesco leadership and requesting parties.
· Identify data and trends to Wesco leadership.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience
· 3-5 years of full-time relevant business experience
· Demonstrated ability to follow through on all assignments and bring projects to a successful conclusion
· Strong planning and organizational skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· High level of maturity, discretion, tact and judgment
· Must maintain and protect confidential information
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various levels throughout the organization
· Excellent attendance and punctuality record
· Demonstrated ability to manage a fluctuating workload and tight deadlines by working extended hours and/or weekends during significant corporate financial accounting and reporting cycles
· Must demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
