Respiratory Educator – Home Health
We are seeking a Respiratory Educator to lead training and education initiatives for both home care staff and clients. This role is responsible for developing and delivering respiratory care education, ensuring staff competency, and empowering clients and caregivers with the knowledge needed for safe and effective care at home.

AdvisaCare is seeking a full time Respiratory Therapist Educator in the Lansing, MI area. With dedication and hard work, we deliver Skilled and Private Duty care in various settings for a diverse patient group. Our staff are committed to providing professional care to each of our patients ensuring their lives are enhanced by our involvement. Our goal is to safely transition the patient from a hospital setting to their home while improving their quality of life!!

Responsibilities:

• Manage records, complete necessary paperwork, and perform patient assessments
• Ability to travel up to 2 hours away from Lansing when necessary
• Ability to educate and administer all aspects of respiratory therapy including mechanical ventilation and trachs
• Participate in training and transitioning of the patient from a facility to the home setting.
• Comply with all policies and standards of safety and infection control.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner in accordance with Advisacares standards of practice.
• Provide respiratory care education and hands-on training to all home care staff
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management
• Ensure staff competency and compliance with clinical standards
• Develop and update educational materials and training programs
• Monday-Friday 8a-5p

Requirements

• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Licensed through the state of Michigan as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

• Knowledge of modern principles, methods, materials, and equipment
• Knowledge of possible hazards to patients and appropriate precautions
• Minimum of 1 year Respiratory Therapy experience
• Management experience preferred
• Reliable Transportation
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to Pass Drug Screen/Clear Background
