Record Specialist
Full Time - 80 hrs/pay
M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm

Scheurer Hospital, a rural critical access hospital, is seeking a full-time Record Specialist to assist in the Health Information Management Services Department.
Responsibilities
- Reception duties
- Answers incoming calls
- Performs clerical office and medical record functions such as: scanning, importing and exporting documentation
- Assists with answering questions related to the Patient Portal(s)
- Assists patients and providers with fulfilling centralized release of information (facility and physician practices)
- Collaborates with the workforce to support customer services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The candidate should be able to work independently, ethically, and cooperatively with high regard of protecting medical records according to State, Federal and Hospital by-laws
- Candidates must have previous experience working in a medical hospital/office environment and demonstrated customer service and data entry experience.
- On-site in office position
