Salary Range: $64,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and company policies.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures specific to manufacturing operations.
• Provide EHS training to employees on topics such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.
• Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Manage hazardous waste and materials programs, including storage, disposal, and record-keeping.
• Maintain comprehensive EHS records and documentation, including permits, training logs, and incident reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in conducting EHS risk assessments, incident investigations, and developing effective corrective actions.
• Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees at all organizational levels.

Bonus Qualifications

• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification
• Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera)
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification or experience with process improvement methodologies
• Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish or other languages common in the local workforce
