St. Lawrence Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 6–8) to join our faith-filled school community. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about helping students develop strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in math within a supportive, Christ-centered environment.
The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons, foster a positive classroom culture, and collaborate with colleagues to support the academic and spiritual growth of our students.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction for grades 6–8
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
- Monitor student progress through assessment and feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with faculty
- Support the Catholic mission of the school and participate in school faith life
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Mathematics, or related field
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with a math endorsement (required)
- Middle school teaching experience preferred
- Commitment to Catholic education and values
