Who we are looking for:

Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Solutions Architect to join our growing team. The Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in aligning an organization's strategic vision with its operational execution. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions to address complex business problems. The ideal candidate will bring experience with common business processes, strong collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.


What you get to do:

  • Designing and Integrating Systems : Architecting and integrating information systems to meet the company's needs.
  • Gather and Analyze Integration Requirements : Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze integration requirements.
  • Assessing Current Systems : Evaluating existing systems architecture and working with technical staff to recommend improvements.
  • Problem-Solving : Resolving technical issues as they arise and ensuring the architecture aligns with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Informing stakeholders about any issues with current technical solutions.
  • Documentation : Create detailed integration requirements documents, functional specifications, and business and data process flows.
  • Model Creation : Develop detailed business models and technical architectures that align with the organization's strategy and objectives.
  • Project Management : Provide input to project planning and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.


What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in identifying, creating, and implementing complex technical architecture, software applications, systems, and other IT infrastructure in the automotive industry,
  • Proven experience implementing solutions within Engineering and Manufacturing functions is a plus.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to align architecture with strategic objectives.
  • High level of familiarity with diagramming tools and techniques, and a good understanding of IT systems and processes.
  • In-depth understanding of coding languages, operating systems, and databases.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • High energy, self-motivated mindset.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
