Position: ICD Summer School Principal (Seasonal)

The Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD) is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Principal for our Summer School program. This is a part-time, seasonal position that will run from June to August.

The ICD Summer School Principal will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Summer School program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for the Summer School program.

- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of teachers and support staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience for students.

- Plan and organize daily activities, field trips, and special events for students.

- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.

- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

- Collaborate with the ICD leadership team to ensure the Summer School program aligns with the overall mission and vision of the organization.

- Manage the budget for the Summer School program and ensure all expenses are within the approved budget.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a teaching or leadership role.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to work well with a diverse group of students, parents, and staff.

- Must pass a background check.

This is a part-time/seasonal position. The ICD Summer School Principal will work approximately 16-20 hours per week during the summer months. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
