Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in quality reports and systems.
• Operate and maintain various inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and optical comparators.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct routine calibration of measurement tools and gauges according to established schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, support continuous improvement initiatives, and prepare summary reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T symbols.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality methodologies (e.g., SPC, Root Cause Analysis).
• Proficiency in performing various types of inspections (e.g., First Article, In-process, Final).
• Strong computer skills for data entry, report generation, and quality software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQI) or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
