DevOps Lead - Remote | WFH

Are you a skilled DevOps professional with a passion for leading technical teams? We're looking for a talented DevOps Lead to play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless feature delivery and the implementation of best-in-class technology solutions. In this position, you'll act as a key liaison between development teams, business teams, and IT teams, all while driving innovation in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What You'll Do
As the primary technical lead for the DevOps/SRE team, you will support a major application requiring 24x7 availability and tens of thousands of users. You'll be responsible for:

Leading code deployments using CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with capability teams to organize these efforts.
Triage and manage issues reported by monitoring tools, users, and other sources, including incident management and communication with senior leadership.
Supporting and developing our internal CI/CD and test automation libraries used across multiple squads.
Managing environment KPIs, uptime, and maintenance activities—possibly requiring off-hours work.
Leading workflow management for the team through Jira.
Actively participating in the planning and future development of DevOps/automation activities.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
2+ years of experience as a technical lead or manager for an agile team.
Proven experience supporting a high-availability application with hundreds or thousands of users.
Hands-on experience with platforms and tools such as OpenShift/Docker, Command Line/Batch Scripting, Spring/Spring Boot, Angular 9, WebLogic, Oracle Databases, Kafka/Message Queues, AWS, Bitbucket/Gitlab, and Git Flow CI/CD concepts.
Expertise in Automation using Jenkins or similar tools.

Additional Information

This role is hybrid with a location in Detroit, MI.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift.
You must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Detroit before starting.
